ENGAGED: Michelle + Margaret | Hyatt Regency Jersey City

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of spending some time with a beautiful couple, Michelle and Margaret, set to be married this September at City Hall Restaurant.  And what a beautiful day and location for a shoot!  The Hyatt Regency in Jersey City offered a spectacular view of New York City and beautiful landscape in the surrounding areas.  I was also very happy that they decided to include their daughter in their engagement session.  You can tell right from the start these two have such a strong bond and love each other deeply.

PORTRAITS: Skylar | Pelham Bay Park

Ladies and Gentlemen:  Remember this girl's face because I swear she is going places!  I'd like you to meet Skylar - one of the prettiest, funniest, and the most energetic young girls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  I had such a blast this past Saturday photographing her in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx.  We talked extensively about the Twilight saga, her love for Logan Lerman and why I am CRAZY for not having read the Hunger Games yet (don't worry Sky - it's next on my list!).  I hope to be able to work with her again in the future and to see that smiling face on the silver screen real soon!

Fun Fact for all my Sopranos fans out there:  This little actress played a younger version of Janice Soprano in the last season of the show!

Have I mentioned her love of all things Twilight?  Well, of course we had to find a perfect setting for this real-life Bella.

One Year Later...

It's hard to believe that one year ago today, I put on my beautifully ruffled San Patrick gown, held my stunning bouquet of flowers (courtesy of Designs By Rose), and walked down that long aisle at St. Benedict's Church on my father's arm to marry the best guy I know.  After two years of planning the flowers, the music, the food, the decor, the "blah", "blah", "blah", nothing else mattered to us that day but each other and the fact that we both get to spend the rest of lives with our best friend.  It was definitely one of the best days of our lives and the first of many we'll share together until we are old and gray.

Happy First Year Anniversary to my husband, Chris!
